Question 1

Do pensioners get a discount on train travel?

Accepted Answer

A pension alone is not always sufficient to qualify for a discount, as this depends on the type of entitlement you have and the document confirming the discount. On PolishTrains, you can select the appropriate concession when choosing a ticket if you are entitled to it for the journey.

Question 2

Does the Large Family Card entitle you to a discount on train travel?

Accepted Answer

The Karta Dużej Rodziny may be the basis for a discount only if you meet the conditions specified by the relevant carrier. On PolishTrains, you can select the appropriate discount when buying the ticket and check its application for the selected service.

Question 3

Will I receive an SMS reminder before the train departs?

Accepted Answer

PolishTrains does not send SMS reminders before the train departs. You can check the departure time in the purchased timetable and on the station board before travelling.

Question 4

What documents are needed to transport a dog by train?

Accepted Answer

To transport a dog, you need the documents required by the carrier, including confirmation of current vaccinations if the carrier requires it. On PolishTrains, you can check the connection for the selected route, while the rules for transporting animals should be confirmed in the carrier's regulations.

Question 5

My ticket did not arrive by email despite a successful payment – how can I retrieve it?

Accepted Answer

After a successful payment, check whether the ticket is available by SMS or in the PolishTrains app, and check your spam folder. If it is still not there, contact PolishTrains support and prepare your transaction confirmation.
